narrative: This coffee comes from an award winning farm and is part of the Gold Mountain Coffee Growers export. Brice visited this region to form partnerships with Don Sabino and several others in 2017. Though we didn't get to meet Don Roger then, we met many of her neighbors and spent a lot of time with Ben, who does the on the ground work of exporting the coffee and building the amazing network of sustainable coffees that he has. This is a special lot called the "Fruit Symphony" as it's composed of only coffee cherries containing the highest Brix rating of sucrose. These are then carefully naturally processed to bring out a bouquet of delicate fruited flavors. Roger and his wife Isabel could talk about their coffee for days., Don Roger has a degree in agronomy and he loves sharing his technical knowledge and tips with visiting roasters. Their farm has a clean source of water that supplies the community below with drinking water. Further, the farm has a special system of PVC tubing with tiny perforations underneath the groves of trees so that run off from the washing of coffee during wetmilling is filtered but the earth instead of polluting streams. In all, Don Roger is a model farmer for Velodrome's buying standards. Not only is he growing exceptional coffee, but he is giving back to his community and actively working to avoid pollution.
